Live updates: Vazirani Shul electric hypercar showcased in India
Mumbai-based Vazirani Automotive will showcase India's first hypercar, the Shul, at an event today in Mumbai. This is the formal unveiling of the hypercar in India, it had its international showcase at this year's Goodwood Festival of Speed. The concept named the Shul (pronounced 'shool') is a limited production hypercar for the road, with a primary focus on evocative design. The mission is to make an electric car so sexy and engaging that we can transition even the most stubborn petrol heads to a cleaner future, states the company. Additionally, the Vazirani Shul is a combined result of teams in Mumbai and L.A. along with other partners in the UK, Italy, Japan and the U.S.

Around 40% of the internal components are ready. The company is working with suppliers for the battery, motor, etc
The Shul has been developed with inputs from the Force India Formula 1 team. The company claim that the Shul focuses on a more engaging driving experience, rather than outright acceleration and speed.
The Shul sits on a carbon-fibre tub chassis with a 300 kg battery pack that sits on the floor behind the driver. Notable is the subtle rear diffuser, made possible by the car's #EV packaging
Most interesting is the Shul’s powertrain. It uses a micro turbine to charge the batteries. This feeds power to four electric motors, one on each wheel. A single ratio transmission connects the two, much like the Regera.

The Shul concept is said to have been designed under the guidance of Kazunori Yamauchi, the producer of the Gran Turismo video game series. With the Shul concept, a new Inspire GT category within the latest Gran Turismo GT Sport will take shape.
Vazirani Automotive was founded by Chunky Vazirani, a graduate from the Art Center in California and with design experience from Rolls-Royce, Jaguar and Land Rover.
The Shul is being developed by Vazirani Automotive, a Mumbai based firm which also has a design studio in California.
