Mahindra expands its operations in North America
Mahindra has expanded its operations in North America with the opening of a new assembly and distribution facility in Bloomsburg, PA. This is the Indian automotive manufacturer's fourth plant in North America. Built in partnership with TPC Power Centre, the 40,000sqft assembly plant will have an initial capacity of 200 Mahindra tractors each month. If required, the production can be ramped up to 500 per month.
Pawan Goenka, president â" automotive and farm equipment sectors, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd said, "The opening of this newest assembly and distribution centre represents our commitment to growing our tractor business in North America. The new facility will provide support and service to Mahindra's northeast United States and eastern Canadian dealers and partners. The centre, to be operated in partnership with TPC Power Centre, will also create a positive impact on the Bloomsburg and surrounding area's economy."
