Mid-spec Tata Altroz XT variant gets auto climate control, priced from Rs 6.84 lakh

Tata Motors has updated the features list for the Tata Altroz. The premium hatchback now gets automatic climate control with the mid-spec XT variant. Prices for the Tata Altroz XT start at Rs 6.84 lakh for the and go up to Rs 8.44 lakh for the diesel. Further, a Luxe add-on feature pack is available on the XT, this increases the prices of the petrol and diesel to Rs 7.23 lakh and Rs 8.83 lakh respectively.

The auto AC feature was previously reserved for the top XZ and XZ(O) variants. Notable features on the XT trim are LED DRLs, mood lighting driver and co-driver, reverse parking camera with dynamic guidelines, front fog lamps with cornering function, Harman 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system Android Auto/Apple Carplay, six speakers, 16-inch steel wheels, follow me home and find me function, keyless entry, push-button start, cruise control
and idle stop-start (petrol only). The Luxe package adds leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear-lever, rear-seat armrest, height-adjustable driver's seat, rear fog lamps, black contrast roof, metal finish inner door handle and body-coloured ORVMs. Click here for a detailed list of features for all variants of the Altroz.

The Altroz comes in two engine options. The 1.5-litre Revotorq turbo-diesel 4-cylinder is a detuned version of the one found in the Nexon and makes 90PS at 4,000rpm and 200Nm at 1,250-3,000rpm. The petrol motor is the 1.2-litre Revotron 3-cylinder petrol, as seen on the Tiago, with 86PS at 6,000rpm and 113Nm at 3,300rpm. Both come paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox.

Prices for the Altroz start at Rs 5.29 lakh for the base XE petrol and go up to Rs 9.34 for the XZ Urban diesel, ex-showroom. Tata Motors will expand the Altroz line-up in the future with a DCt automatic and turbo-petrol engine. An electric version, the Altroz EV was showcased at the 2020 Auto Expo.
