Pankaj Dubey appointed as the CEO of Eicher Polaris

Eicher Polaris Pvt Ltd., joint venture between Eicher Motors Ltd and Polaris Industries Inc, today announced the appointment of Pankaj Dubey as the chief executive officer of the company. In addition to this new responsibility, Pankaj is also the managing director of Polaris India Ltd. He has taken charge of the new role from November 3, 2016.

The official release states, "Prior to joining Eicher Polaris Pvt. Ltd, Pankaj has been long associated with Polaris India Pvt Ltd, the same brand responsible for Indian Motorcycles and off-road adventure vehicles. Pankaj is a postgraduate in business management from Monirba, University Of Allahabad, with an additional qualification in program on leading and managing from the Indian Institute of Management, Kolkata".

In his previous roles, Pankaj has also worked with automobile companies like Hero MotoCorp., LML and Yamaha. Pankaj takes over the new role from Radhesh C Verma. He played an instrumental role in the commercialization of Multix and has been associated with EPPL since inception.

We did reach out to Pankaj Dubey to know about the future producrs that we can expect from EPPL. While he refused to reveal any information on the upcoming offerings he did state that the Multix will get further improvements and new variants in 2017. Pankaj was already a part of the board of directors of EPPL, prior to his new role as CEO, and was contributing to the Multix project.

Eicher Polaris presently offers the Multix which is was labelled it as India's first personal utility vehicle and was launched at 2.32 lakh (ex-Jaipur).The Multix, which is manufactured at the company plant in Kukas, Rajasthan, is offered in two trims - AX+ and MX. The base variant comes without doors while the top variant comes with doors as well as an optional cover for the cargo area. On the other hand, the premium brand Indian Motorcycles offers the recently launched Scout Sixty, Scout, Chief Dark Horse, Chief Classic, Chief Vintage, Springfield, Chieftain Dark Horse, Chieftain and Roadmaster.
