Peugeot launches limited edition RCZ ‘Red Carbon’ editions in UK

Peugeot has launched the RCZ ‘Red Carbon’ limited edition in the UK. Only 300 examples of these cars will be made with prices starting from 26,000 pounds (Rs 26,44,954). The cars are available in only Moroccan red and Nera black colours.

The limited edition is based on the Sport model and gets a ‘Vision Pack’ and ‘Black Pack’ as standard. The Vision Pack includes Xenon directional and self-levelling headlamps and 19-inch Solstice alloy wheels which can have onyx matt black finish. The ‘Black Pack’ brings with it a black – front grille, door mirror covers, brake calipers and roof arches.

The ‘Red Carbon’ edition has a choice of two petrol and one diesel engine. The petrol is a 1.6-litre unit which is available in 158PS and 202PS guise. The gearbox of choice for both the models is a six-speed manual transmission. The 158PS variant does the 0-100kmph sprint in 8.3 seconds while the 200PS does the same in just 7.6 seconds. The oil burner is a 2.0-litre HDi unit developing 165PS of max power and completes the 0-100kmph run in 8.7 seconds with its six-speed manual box. Speaking of fuel efficiency the petrol units in their 158PS and 200PS forms give a combined average of 15.61kmpl and 14.9kmpl respectively. The diesel, as always is better, delivering 19.22kmpl in the combined cycle.

The interior gets Peugeot Connect Navigation (RT6) that takes care of your entertainment and navigational requirements. The audio system has CD, USB and Bluetooth compatibility.

A new PEUGEOT RCZ ‘Red Carbon’ LE model is announced, combining high specification, bespoke trim and ‘Red Carbon’ badging, distinguished by a red-stitched interior.

The ‘Red Carbon’ models are a Limited Edition of 300 models, derived from the Sport model and distinguished with unique badging. Each model features as standard the ‘Vision Pack’ – with Xenon, directional and self-levelling headlamps, 19'' 'Solstice' alloy wheels – with their onyx black matt paintwork finish, metallic paintwork in Moroccan Red or Nera Black, complemented by the ‘Black Pack’ which includes matt black roof arches, brilliant black front grill, door mirror covers and brake callipers.

On the inside, unique ‘Red Carbon’ black style sports front seats trimmed in ‘Simple Leather’ feature red stitching, as do the ‘Red Carbon’ style dashboard, sports steering wheel and short shift gear lever.

For in-car entertainment, Red Carbon models are equipped with the PEUGEOT Connect Navigation (RT6), Audio, CD and satellite navigation system and PEUGEOT Connect USB Box with Bluetooth connectivity.
