One of the highly anticipated all-electric motorcycles, the Revolt RV400 has been unveiled. The Revolt RV400 gets an ARAI certified range of 156km per charge and can be plugged directly to a 15-ampere socket for a full charge in four hours. Revolt has also come up with a swappable battery that can be ordered via the company's cell phone application and can be delivered to the desired location at a convenient time slot.

Also, the customers can identify the nearest battery swapping station via the company's application. Swapping the battery (power source) of the bike needs a claimed time of 60 seconds. The cell phone application keeps a tab on the swap order history.

The RV400 is India's first AI (artificial intelligence) enabled motorcycle and boasts features such as geofencing, anti-theft and geotagging. The application also tells the bike's statistics such as available range, total riding hours and real-time diagnostics.

The electric motorcycle gets an artificial engine sound that can be switched on/off by the user. The cell phone application gives a preview of the sounds as well. Currently, the bike is available in two colours - Red and Black.

The bookings for the Revolt RV400 will commence on June 25, 2019, in Delhi, India. The bike can be booked on the company's website or through e-commerce website, Amazon. The bookings will commence in the city of Delhi and will be followed by other NCR regions, Pune, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Nagpur, Ahmedabad and Chennai in the next four months.

The prices will be announced at a later date, however, expect a price tag of Rs 1 lakh or less, ex-showroom. The motorcycle will compete with the 150cc petrol-powered motorcycles such as the Yamaha FZ-S, Suzuki Gixxer 155. The RV400 gets cycle parts similar to a conventional motorcycle, upside-down forks in the front and a monoshock at the back. The bike also sports an all-digital instrument cluster. The bike gets disc brakes on both ends, however, misses out on the ABS.
