Soriano Motori's electric motorcycle breaks cover
Italian bike maker Soriano Motori has revealed its first electric bike - Soriani EV Giaguaro. The bike is expected to make an appearance at EICMA 2020 in Milan, Italy. But that totally depends upon how the Coronavirus pandemic situation evolves in the future.
The will be powered by Soriano's duo-flex electric motor with a three-speed gearbox, it places both motors together in a boxer arrangement. The two sides of the motor can function together and independently as well, depending on the situation. For basic city rides, the bike uses a single motor and saves battery. And performance, both motors will work together for a top speed of 180kmph. The Company claims a range of 150km on a single charge.
The bike's styling is close to a sportbike, but not too aggressive. The body panel has smooth edges and the fairing has clean creases that will fit the rider's legs comfortably. The tyre hugging mudguard at the rear section accents the sporty look of the bike.
The bike also features electric nannies like six-axis inertial measurement unit (IMU), traction control and lean-sensitive ABS. The Giaguaro will be offered in three different variants - V1R, V1S and the V1 Gara which is the top model. The V1R costs 25,000 Euros which is roughly Rs 21.45 lakh, the V2S is for 30,500 Euros and that is about Rs 26.17 lakh, and V1 Gara is priced at 32,500 Euros which is close to Rs 27.89 lakh. They are all available for pre-orders and the deliveries are expected to begin in the first quarter of 2021. Also, Giaguaro means Jaguar in Italian.
