The test mule we captured does not see any changes from the one that was caught testing some time back. The car is heavily camouflaged and lacks some essential components like the front grille, rear bumper and the left hand side view mirror.

This mule looks nowhere close to being production ready. The round headlights and hastily-attached looking horizontal strip of lights at the rear pass off as tail lamps.

The compact SUV will get a new monocoque chassis and probably a petrol engine developed with help from SsangYong. The S101 is likely to be named the XUV300 as it approaches production and will be placed in the Mahindra lineup below the highly successful XUV500 flagship.
