Mahindra’s most important offering, the Scorpio, been updated quite often ever since the SUV debuted about a decade ago. Over the years, the vehicle has featured various powertrains, mechanical updates as well as styling changes.

Looks like the 2015 model will also continue to offer such updates. Going by the pictures sent to us by reader Vaibhav Patil, we expect the Scorpio to feature an all-new face inspired from the XUV 500 including projector headlamps for the top variants. The signature family grille may also be better incorporated than in the current version. Also expect a new design bonnet and scoop. The sides remain more or less the same but the wheel arches and side cladding may also be redesigned. Alloy wheels too are new and feature different styling that looks more modern than that of the current design. The rear features new design for the LED taillamps with extensions continuing to run up the pillars. The bumper seems to be the same as before.

Sources also tell us that the interior will get a comprehensive upgrade in the form of a fully redesigned dashboard including a new multi information display and steering wheel like in the XUV 500. There will also be a digital meter console. The suspension and other mechanicals may also receive upgrades, we have often seen the SUV being tested on the Mumbai-Pune expressway, dynamics, especially body roll, seemed reduced even at triple digit speeds. The updated Scorpio is expected to go on sale end of this year.
