Steelbird launches Ares range of new helmets

Steelbird have launched a new series of helmets in India titled Ares, after the Greek God of War. The new helmet range includes Skull, Devil, Denim and Stroke trims and is priced at Rs 2,999-3,999.

This series are manufactured using Outlast technology, developed by Nasa, that utilises phase change materials (PCM) for maintaining optimal thermal comfort by absorbing, storing and releasing heat.

The helmets have a very high impact strength shell and get high density EPS (expanded polystyrene) giving it excellent shock absorbing capacity and more resistance to penetration. The visors feature a locking mechanism to ensure safety in case of an incident and are not held together by screws or metal parts ensuring longevity as there is no chance of the parts getting rusted. The company says that the visors are unbreakable and can be bought in different colours to suit different tastes. The helmet can be opened at the push of a button.
