Tata Motors starts commercial vehicle driving centre in Singrauli
Tata Motors has inaugurated its commercial vehicle driving centre in Singrauli, Madhya Pradesh. At this driving centre, drivers will be imparted training on road safety and product via "Defensive Driving" techniques. Tata Motors has charted out the course, know-how, technical assistance and guidance for the drivers while an NGO, Pratham institute will be the implementation partner. At the training centre, there is a test track and class rooms. There will be different training imparted to light commercial vehicle drivers and heavy commercial vehicle drivers. The drivers will be trained via audio-video technology and practical sessions. There are also courses in basic vehicle maintenance, health, Yoga, soft skills and financial literacy. This is the eighth driving centre that Tata has opened in India. Through this initiative, Tata Motors aims to train more than two lakh drivers by 2021.
