Toyota issues recall for Corolla Altis and Camry in India

Toyota Kirloskar Motor has issued a recall for the Corolla Altis and Camry in India for inspecting the power window master switch. Approximately 8700 Corolla Altis cars manufactured between July 30 â" December 31 2008 and Camrys between September 1 2006 â" July 31 2008 have been affected with this recall. Toyota says on the specified model year cars, the switch may begin to feel notchy or inoperative. Authorized Toyota dealers will inspect and replace the switch (if deemed necessary) at no extra cost to the owner. The repair is expected to take approximately one hour, depending on the dealer's work schedule.
