Triumph Motorcycles India has launched the XCA variant of the Tiger 800 at Rs 13.75 lakh (ex-Delhi). This is the top of the line variant and will join the line-up consisting of the Tiger 800 XR, 800 XRx, 800 XC and the 800 XCx. The Tiger 800 XCA will feature a 650W alternator responsible for the heated rider and pillion seats, heated grips and LED fog lamps that come as standard on this variant. The alternator can also be used to power other auxiliary devices such as a GPS system or heated clothing.
Vimal Sumbly, managing director of Triumph Motorcycles India had said, âWe at Triumph Motorcycles are committed to delivering the most exceptional experiences to our customers with our incredibly advanced and stylised bikes. Having received an overwhelming response from the Indian market in such a short span of time, we want to offer the best to our customers here. For those who like to ride a little more off the beaten path, the new Tiger 800 XCA is the top tier of the Tiger XC family. Adding this variant to our outstanding range of adventure bikes, we have consolidated the category in India taking the ethos of adventure a step further.â
With respect to the engine, the Tiger 800 XCA runs the same 95PS/79Nm liquid-cooled 800cc in-line three cylinder engine mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. Triumph says that it has derived the shifter mechanism from the Daytona and this gives the motorcycle faster shifts. The motorcycle also gets switchable ABS, cruise control, four traction modes and a ride-by-wire throttle.
Triumph has recently opened up its 11th showroom at Indore and plans on opening the 12th one in Jaipur soon. Apart from the regular colours available on the other Triumph Tiger 800 models in India, the XCA also gets Crystal White and Khaki Green options.
