TVS Srichakra showcases Agriradial tyre 'Tigertrac' at Reifen 2014
From being the first invention, the wheel has come a long way, especially for the Germans. The 28th International Tyre Fair (Reifen), held at Messe Essen, Germany, is the prime summit for innovations and advancements in the tyre industry.
This year the event, organised from the 27th to 30th of May, had TVS Srichakra showcase its Agriradial tyre 'Tigertrac'. The tyres have been developed to suit both agrarian and road use and are aimed to achieve low fuel consumption and high resistance to wear and tear. The newer technology employed in the manufacturing is fully automated with reduced vibrations.

At the fair, The Tigertrac showcase grabbed quite a few eyeballs with a magnificent, augmented reality-version Bengal tiger pawing and clawing at the audience at the TVS TYRES stall.

The director of TVS Srichakra, P. Vijayaraghavan, said, "During the designing and manufacturing process we ensured that we look into each of the fundamental factors that affect a tyre on various conditions. Tigertrac is one such innovation from the house of TVS Srichakra that is highly efficient for the farm and road."
Previously, the Eurogrip range of Off-highway tyres from TVS Srichakra, has helped the company gain a substantial foothold in the European market. TVS TYRES come in variants built for two and three wheeler categories as well as off-road use. The company rolls out (pun intended) 1.6 million tyres every month and currently exports to more than 65 countries across the globe.

Organized by Messe Essen GmbH, Reifen is a highly prioritized event on tyre manufacturing technology exhibition and conference. It was a 4 day event from 27th to 30th May that saw 670 exhibitors from 44 countries. Marketed under the TVS EUROGRIP brand, 'Tigertrac' is a newly developed radial agriculture tyre line suited to address both farm and road use. It promises to offer best flotation and excellent road performance with low fuel consumption and high resistance to wear and tear. The Tigertrac tyres are manufactured on unique compact tyre building machines, capable of assembling various tyre components in one revolution, a fully automated deposition, resulting in outstanding uniformity that reduces vibrations. The tyre rolling behavior highlights its longitudinal high angle lugs and more rubber area in contact with road. The comfort ride comes from its make with polymer type and ratio for high damping properties. The maximum flex area close to the ground also adds in making it comfortable for the driver. Along with nanotech activators this allows high reinforcing cap base to achieve highest tear energy in all services and ambient temperature conditions making it cut resistant. Mr. P. TVS Tyre Augmented reality activity featured a Royal Bengal Tiger that could interact with any participant who stood on a given marker.
