Unveiled 2013 Maserati Quattroporte
Maserati has taken the wraps off its 2013 Quattroporte sedan ahead of its Detroit Motor Show unveiling. Though the styling isn't too different from the outgoing car, a few changes like the roofline which appears much sleeker now, front glass which is steeply raked and wheel arches which don't cut into the rear doors are part of the new design package. At the rear, a new exhaust system design and horizontal tail lamps round off the exterior styling updates. Inside, there is a new bigger touchscreen display on the central console, two-tier instrument panel and rear seat entertainment package.
While the company says that an all new powertrain lurks under the hood of the Quattroporte, we believe that the car will have the old V8 engine with a bump in power. Most likely, the engine will be mated to an 8-speed automatic tranny. More details will emerge from the Detroit Motor Show floors.
