BMW have unveiled a new M model and it is the 4-door 6 Series Gran Coupe. It will take on the likes of the Mercedes CLS63 and Audi S7 when it will be on sale by June 2013 in North America. Power for the M6 Gran Coupe is courtesy a 4.4-litre bi-turbo direct injected V8 engine which makes 560PS of power and 680Nm of torque. Coupled with the 7-speed dual-clutch transmission and an Active M differential, BMW claims that the M6 Gran Coupe will hit 0-100 kmph in 4.2 seconds and achieve an electronically restricted top whack of 250kmph in just a few seconds more. To reign in all this power, the brakes have been upgraded from the 6 Series Gran Coupe with the front ones measuring 15.7 inches while the rear ones stand at 15.6 with six-piston calipers.

Visually, the M6 Gran Coupe gets body kit like its other M brethren â€" 20-inch wheels, brake calipers painted in a golden hue and a carbon fibre roof panel. Merino trim upholstery, leather seats, a 3-spoke steering wheel and other goodies line the interiors. Drivers can configure whether they want their M6 to have a sporty configuration or track focused setup via the M1 and M2 modes on the steering wheel.

Prices for the M6 Gran Coupe haven't been announced yet.
