What happens to the Pulsars

Bajaj has been clear that the new Pulsar models will be developed in concert with the KTMs. The P200NS has proved that not only is this a good idea, but that Bajaj and KTM know how to handle the simultaneous development of two models both of which are similar in role and intent but vastly different in positioning and price. Bajaj have already indicated that the Pulsars will walk in step with the KTM, offering similar performance at a more affordable price point. As such, a KTM 390 will be followed by a 375cc Pulsar.

The question that arises is of the roles. Does the KTM 390 sports bike mean that the Pulsar 375 will also be a sportsbike? We believe that will no be the case. The Pulsar brand is definitely capable of pulling off a full faired model - there are enough modifiers in the aftermarket who have slapped on fairings on to Pulsars for ages. But we expect that in the short-term the Pulsar will not walk exactly in the footsteps of the KTM, although over, say a five-six year period, there will be a near-direct correlation between the KTM and Bajaj Pulsar model offerings in terms of both displacement and roles.

As in eventually, every KTM model developed by Bajaj will have a Bajaj Pulsar branded close (but affordable) cousin.
