World Ducati Week 2012
World Ducati Week 2012 kicked off yesterday and will thunder on till Sunday. The four day long 'week' is the 7th edition of this annual event which usually sees thousands of Ducati fans gathering from around the world. This year's crowd volumes are expected to top 60,000 people and they will be treated to events ranging from a beach party at Cattolica and rock concerts to Diavel drag races. There to greet the fans will be Valentino Rossi, Nicky Hayden, Troy Bayliss, Carlos Checa, Davide Giugliano, Sylvain Guintoli and Jakub Smrz - all Ducati team riders from various racing series. Ducati will also have on display all the models that have made the brand legendary.
The event will kick off with a parade where participants will ride their Ducatis from the Misano circuit to the sea side town of Cattolica for a beach barbeque. The week also offers something for everyone with riding experiences with the Troy Bayliss Academy and the chance to test the 1199 Panigale for those feel like joining in. And for those who just want to watch, there will be stunt shows and the night parties. A proper fun experience and a must see for every Ducati fan.
