Yamaha organizes its first Kidz Yamaha Safe Riding Science of 2012
After organizing numerous sessions of the Yamaha Safe Riding Science (YSRS) last year, India Yamaha Motor has conducted its first riding clinic for kids this year in Noida. As many as 100 students between the age group of eight to thirteen attended the theoretical and practical sessions. The kids practised safe riding on Yamaha TTR 50 and PW 50 bikes. The initiative behind this clinic is to inculcate safe riding habits and create traffic awareness amongst the youth in India.
Speaking on the occasion, Jun Nakata, director-sales and marketing, India Yamaha Motor, said, "To tackle the menace of the ever increasing number of road accidents in the cities, Yamaha has again taken a step forward to inform the youth about road safety techniques and promote an accident free scenario in the country. We realize our responsibility towards the society and we are glad that our initiative has received such good response. We plan to conduct more such events across the country in the coming months. We will continue to work in this direction and through the medium of YSRS we want to develop this attitude wherein people should consider safety as an important component of bike riding and not just focus on the thrill of riding."
Yamaha launched the YSRS initiative in India in 2008, and has introduced it to the youth of Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Pune, Nagpur, Dehradoon, Guwahati, Vizag, Jammu, Ahmedabad, Jamshedpur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Udaipur, Varanasi and Goa.
