The June 2016 issue of OVERDRIVE is now out on stands, and here's why you should get your hands on one right away. To kick things off, we've gone and done a track test with sub-10 lakh hatchbacks to find out which one is the best for a budget track day. Obviously we've taken the Fiat Abarth Punto and the Volkswagen Polo GT TSI, but we've also taken the Honda Jazz, Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Hyundai i20 and the Ford Figo. Trust us when we say that the results will surprise you.

Next up, Rohit puts the new Toyota Innova Crysta up against its closest rival, the Renault Lodgy. Although the Lodgy won the last comparison test with Innova, Rohit finds out if it can hold on to its title. Rishaad meanwhile takes the Honda BR-V around Udaipur to find out if this newcomer will be welcomed with open arms despite tough competition. Speaking of newcomers, Rahul took the Tata Tiago petrol for a spin to see if it can score a much needed goal for Tata. Aditya meanwhile fits himself inside the Datsun redi-Go to see how well it would fit in the A-segment.

Something that got us curious this month is the Eco mode which is offered on a bunch of cars these days. It's almost always a buzz kill to drive with, thanks to all its power restrictions and what not. We were wondering if, at the end of the day, this little Eco button actually makes difference in the real world. So we took four cars from different segments and tested them meticulously with the Eco mode.

If you're the one who prefers the more glamorous cars, don't worry. We've got that covered too. Once Rohit was done with the Innova Crysta and Lodgy, he headed straight to Munich to drive two important cars from Audi – the all-new A4 and the SQ7. While the A4 left him charmed and smiling, the big diesel SQ7 put a big grin on his face with its claimed 0-100kmph time of just 4.8 seconds. Halley meanwhile went to Berlin to drive the new Volkswagen Passat GTE which will make its way to India pretty soon. He thinks that although it will be quite an expensive offering, it fits right in, especially with all the focus on environmental issues in the country.

Bert, on the other hand, went to the Yas Marina circuit in Abu Dhabi where he drove the new turbo-charged Porsche 911 Carrera and Carrera S which he found quicker and more nimble than its predecessor. Soon after that, he headed to Montenegro to drive the Jaguar F-Pace which "clearly has the gumption and the heart to take on the best in the business."

Back in India, Ashok compared two of the most affordable drop-tops available here - the Audi A3 Cabriolet and the Mini Cooper S Convertible. He found them to be very different machines that appeal to two different kinds of people. But which one's better? You'll have to read his story to find out. Also in the line-up this month is a story in which we take our readers through the Himalayas in six luxurious Volvos to get a taste of what it's like to Live Life in OVERDRIVE.

Are four wheels two too many for you? Then our motorcycle section is sure to get you stoked this month. First up, we have the 2016 Kawasaki ZX-10R, which Rishaad Mody found to be one of the best litre-class motorcycles we've ever ridden. He also found the motorcycle to be very appealing at price of Rs 18.9 lakh on-Road in Mumbai. Ashok meanwhile tests the most powerful Apache yet, the RTR200 4V. He then hopped onto the Honda Hornet 160R to see if it's better than our current 150cc favourite, the Suzuki Gixxer. Finally, we got Aditya, our widest and Lijo, our tallest, to test the Honda Navi and the Activa, just to see what comes of it.

In the Motorsport section, Vaishali has a very interesting conversation with Petter Solberg, WRX champion, on his rise to the top. Michael Scott on the other hand tells us the story of motorcycle grand prix champion Barry Sheene. While Martin Holmes gives you a history lesson on the APRC before it makes its way to India this year. This and all the MotoGP coverage from Jerez and Le Mans.
