It's the hottest time of the year, and we've got something hotter for you – the May issue of OVERDRIVE. Yes, the latest issue of OVERDRIVE is out on stands. And for this month, we got our hands on some of the hottest cars and bikes in the world. To kick things off, Bert went out to the US to drive two sizzling Mercedes-AMGs – the GT C Roadster and the E43.

Shumi, meanwhile, was sent off to the desert to drive some cars. By desert, we mean Dubai and by cars we mean Ferraris – a 488 Spider and a GTC4Lusso – and Rolls-Royces – the Wraith and Ghost Black Badge editions. It's one of the few times you'll hear him saying something nice about anything with more than two wheels.

But of course, his month wouldn't be complete without riding a nice motorcycle or two. So he got the Ducati 959 Panigale and the Triumph Thruxton R and went on a very long ride. Not to find out which one is better, but to appreciate the two of the best-looking motorcycles in the market. He then went to Singapore to ride Harley-Davidson's latest offering in India, the Street Rod. Meanwhile, in Malaysia, Rohit was throwing a Lamborghini Aventador S around Sepang International Circuit.

Back in India, Rishaad was busy finding out if the Porsche 718 Boxster is as magical as the previous-gen car, despite losing two of its six cylinders and getting a turbocharger. He then headed to Kari Motor Speedway in Coimbatore to drive Volvo's first performance car in India – the S60 Polestar. A 367PS sports-sedan at Rs 52.5 lakh, ex-Delhi – sounds like a bargain, right? But is it a bargain worth making? Read his story to find out. Rishaad also went to Japan to see what Nissan's got in store for our future in terms of mobility.

Aditya went out to Gujarat to drive the new Ford Figo and Figo Aspire Sports editions. Yes, Ford's brought the S badge back! But will these cars live up to the name? Read our story in the magazine to find out! Bob, on the other hand, took Maruti's first fast hatchback in India – the Baleno RS – and put it up against the benchmark for fast hatchbacks – the Volkswagen Polo GT TSI. Has Maruti RS-ed the standard? Once you're done finding out, you should also read Lijo's story in which he compares the new Audi A3 sedan and the Mercedes-Benz CLA to find out which one is the king of the entry-luxury sedans.

Rahul, meanwhile, has been trying to be grown-up and make practical decisions. So he took the A3 sedan's two-door, convertible sibling – the A3 Cabriolet – to see how useable it is in our conditions. He then set about looking for the perfect car to ferry his family around in. And found one – the Mini Cooper S Clubman. While he may not have a family of his own yet, he's pretty sure that this is the car he wants when he does have one. Rahul was also busy comparing three important cars in an important segment – the new Honda WR-V, the Hyundai i20 Active and the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza.

In the Motorsport section, Vaishali pays tribute to the legendary John Surtees and also gives us a peep into the whats, whys and hows of racing simulators. Rahul, on the other hand, was sent to Delhi to watch large, fast trucks race, and then he was off to Rajasthan to witness the third Dakar Challenge event in the world – the India Baja 2017. We've also got extensive coverage of the first two rounds of the 2017 MotoGP Championship at Qatar and Argentina.

From the OD Garage, you'll find out how the Ducati Multistrada 1200 S, the Vitara Brezza, the Triumph Daytona 675 and the Hyundai Elantra AT have fared over the past couple of months.

So grab your hat, brave the sun, and head to the nearest store and buy your copy of OVERDRIVE's May issue!
