OVERDRIVE completed 19 years of bringing you the latest in automotive news, and reviews this month! And to celebrate, we have a big, fat 19th Anniversary Collector's Edition OVERDRIVE waiting for you at the news stand. As Editor-in-Chief Bertrand D'Souza reminds us constantly, OVERDRIVE goes the extra mile to ensure we get you a story unlike any other. Here's what's in this mammoth 320-page celebration.

Off to the Mountains

Of course, we went into the mountains. The OVERDRIVE summer capital is Leh! But this year, we started out with a story that's a dream - and you cannot miss reading it. And bring a napkin for drool-control. Because we took the big adventure tourers, the Honda Africa Twin DCT, the Ducati Multistrada 1200 S and the Triumph Tigers 800 XCA and the new Explorer XCx on the hardest highway in India. And of course, the third edition of the OVERDRIVE Independence Quattro Drive took 5 Audi SUVs and a team of participants and unfurled the Tricolour with our brave and indomitable soldiers, barely 20km from the Indo-China border.

To the racetrack, then!

From our summer capital, we moved to the spiritual home of OVERDRIVE. We took a suite of vehicles to the racetrack for a story we have thought about for a while. We wanted to see the details of the price-to-performance equation. So we got ourselves a range of vehicles from the sweet TVS Apache RTR 200 4v to the ferocious Lamborghini Huracan 610-4. Our cars and motorcycles for the day told us how performance increases with price - this is an eye-opening read, we promise.

Cars

Then OVERDRIVE staffers headed out to exclusively drive the 2017 Audi Q5 which is headed here. Also in the issue is the stunning Range Rover Velar and the box-fresh Hyundai Verna. We also get the Jeep Compass against the Hyundai Creta to see how that shakes out. Not quite done, we also have the Tata Nexon. Enough? Okay fine, we also compared the Mercedes-AMG C63 S and the BMW M3 and we've asked for both cars to be sent back to us because, well, why not. Oh and we were responsible too, driving coast to coast within a day in the Jaguar XE 20d. How's that responsible? We did that on one tank of fuel. And then we needed to let our hair down so we partied as hard as the Ashok Leyland FAT 6x6 would allow us - plenty and then stretched out in the new 2018 Mercedes-Benz S-Class.

Motorcycles

And then we got up and went at it again! The boys took the latest of the entry-level big bikes, the Kawasaki Ninja 650, the Ducati Monster 797 and the Harley-Davidson Street Rod on a 4,000km comparison test - that's 12,000km in all! - in the city, out on the highway and at the racetrack. You will be blown away at the results - if you still haven't spotted a reason why you absolutely must pick up the issue, check your pulse, you might be past your expiry date. Also in the issue is the big battle between the Kawasaki Z900 and the Triumph Street Triple S, both long-term rivals, both brand-new for this year. Also, the Bajaj Pulsar NS160.

Motorsport

Motorsport Editor Vaishali looked forward, outlining the glory that awaits Indian Formula One hopefuls, Jehan Daruvala and Arjun Maini. Our star columnist Michael Scott looks back at Valentino Rossi's ascension to the title of GOAT. That's greatest of all time, not meh, heh heh.

That's all? No way. Go pick up the 19th Anniversary edition of OVERDRIVE and you'll see that stories are far from over. Hurry, they'll run out fast, that also we promise.
