2018 Royal Enfield Thunderbird 500X first ride review
Royal Enfield's first new motorcycle for 2018 is out. Based on the current Thunderbird, the 500X and its smaller cousin, the 350X is a street bike, an 'urban explorer' if you will. The primary change is aesthetic. The bottom half of the motorcycle has been studiously been given a black shade, some matte surfaces, mostly gloss. The tank is the contrast element - our test bike is a vivid orange and you will also see three other colours. New handlebars, a new seat and alloy wheels complete the story of the Rs 1.98 lakh motorcycle (ex-showroom), that's Rs 8,000 more than the basic Thunderbird, approximately.
