While we were in Bengaluru to ride the Ather 450, touted to be Indias first smart electric scooter, we also caught up with Tarun Mehta, co-founder of Ather Energy. With the 450, Ather Energy hopes to redefine the electric scooter space in India, offering a scooter that is eco-friendly while not having to sacrifice the fun aspect thanks to its impressive performance and dynamics. Tarun tells us all about Ather Energys journey right from the companys inception in 2013, the challenges faced on the way as also about how the scooter was put together, despite not having any experience of manufacturing automobiles at all.
