Range Rover Velar launched in India
Land Rover has launched the Range Rover Velar SUV in India at a starting price of Rs 78.83 lakh (ex-showroom, pan-India). The Velar shares its underpinnings and wheelbase with the Jaguar F-Pace SUV. In the Range Rover line-up, it is placed above the Evoque and below the Sport. There are three engine options, one petrol and two diesel motors. However, the fun 3-litre V6 petrol has not been brought to India. The top of the range 3-litre V6 diesel First edition is priced at Rs 1.37 crore (ex-showroom). The Velar will compete with the BMW X6 and the Porsche Macan. Deliveries will begin at the end of January 2018.
