2013 Salon Prive: Supercars, hypercars, classics to set ablaze London's garden party

Salon Prive 2013 will take place from September 4-6, featuring hundreds of supercars, hypercars, concepts and classics. This year marks the eighth annual running of the event, which organisers say will be the largest yet.

The event will have its grand opening with the 2013 Chubb Insurance Tour d'Elgance along with the Audemars Piguet Super Car Show.

The 48-km tour will commence from the Royal Automobile Club Woodcote Park in Epsom on September 3 with a stunning collection of 50 cars, worth over £22 million (Rs 224 crore). The cars will travel from the Concours to Mercedes-Benz World in Weybridge, whereupon every machine will do a lap of the circuit.

Spyker B6 Venator

The cavalcade will then move to Brooklands Museum, before making the last leg of their journey to Salon Priv at Syon Park.

In addition, the show features dozens of supercars, including over 10 car debuts including the Spyker B6 Venator making its European debut.

1947 Cisitalia 202 MM Nuvolari Spider

The two-door mid-engined convertible is due to go on sale in 2014, and will be powered by a V6 engine producing more than 375PS. It is a sister car to the Venator coupe seen at the Geneva motor show this year. Production versions of both cars are set to cost around £95,000 (Rs 96.71 lakh).

1999 Lamborghini Diablo SV Roadster

The £1.9 million (Rs 19.34 crore) Icona Vulcano will also premiere at Salon Prive. The 950PS supercar is powered by a V12 engine connected to a hybrid powertrain. It has a top speed of 330kmph and can reach 200kmph in 10 seconds.

1955 Ferrari 500 Mondial

The tour will feature a host of exquisite and rare classic cars including 1949 Riley 105 Transformable Coup, a one of a kind prototype designed and owned by the famous coachbuilder Walter Köeng; 1947 Cisitalia 202 MM Nuvolari Spider, a rare race car designed by Battista 'Pinin' Farina's older brother, Giovanni; 1948 Ferrari 166 Inter-Sport Corsa ; 1955 Ferrari 500 Mondial; 1973 Porsche 911 RS M471 'Lightweight'; and 1957 Aston Martin DB 2/4 MkIII.
