2019 Hyundai Venue SUV on-road prices in India revealed
Yes, the Hyundai Venue is currently the most hot topic in automobile news and there are many reasons for that. It is an important SUV for Hyundai for its marks the Korean car manufacturer's entry in the sub-4m SUV, an area that has been dominated by the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza in India. The other contenders in this segment are the Ford EcoSport, Tata Nexon and the Mahindra XUV300. The Hyundai Venue has been priced at Rs 6.50 lakh for the base 1.2 Kappa MT E petrol model while the top-spec diesel is available at Rs 10.84 lakh. All these prices are ex-showroom prices. The compact SUV from Hyundai is offered with a choice between two petrol and one diesel engine paired to either two manual or one dual-clutch automatic transmission in various permutations. One of the petrols is the new Kappa T-GDI 1.0 litre turbo. This three-cylinder motor will be available in its higher output iteration, which makes 120PS and 172 Nm. his engine is already available on a number of Hyundai and Kia cars globally like the i20 since 2015. The turbocharger in this motor is fitted with an electronically-controlled waste-gate actuator. This improves fuel efficiency by lowering pumping losses as well as improving throttle response and low-end torque. It also gets a 250 bar GDI six-hole fuel injector which allows for clean combustion and improved fuel economy and emissions. The other petrol motor, for lower-spec cars, will be the 1.2-litre petrol with 83PS and 116Nm, as seen on various Hyundai cars in India. The single diesel option will be the 1.4-litre four-cylinder turbo diesel motor which puts out 90PS and 220Nm, paired with a six-speed manual.
The cabin of the Venue comes equipped with Hyundai's BlueLink system which is is Hyundai's connectivity solution that allows your smartphone to be connected to your car, giving remote access to some of the car's features. Along with remote access, the Blue Link will provide safety, security, location-based and alert services. The Blue Link has features such as artificial intelligence and is equipped with vehicle relationship management.
