2019 Land Rover Discovery Sport launched in India at Rs 44.68 lakh, more powerful diesel option added
Jaguar Land Rover India has launched the model year 2019 Land Rover Discovery Sport SUV in India with prices starting at Rs 44.68 lakh. The most notable upgrade this is the more powerful iteration of the 2.0 litre Ingenium diesel engine now available on the SE and HSE spec models.
These models now put out 180PS and 430 Nm while the base Pure variant continues with the 150PS and 382 Nm version of this motor. The petrol variants continued to be offered in the 240PS and 340 Nm version of the 2.0 litre Ingenium motor.
The top-of-the-line HSE Luxury variants also gets added features now. It can now be specified with the Dynamic Design Pack. This adds exterior enhancements like a styling kit for the body , chrome-finisdhed tailpipes and a Black Pack which adds a black grille, a black rear license Plate plinth and a red 'Sport' badge.
Additionally, the HSE Luxury variant now gets an upgraded Touch Pro infotainment system which adds most of the functionalities of the Touch Pro DUo system seen on SUvs like the Range Rover Velar.

The Discovery Sport is already the most capable off-roader among its peers. This more powerful diesel option brings it up to speed with rivals like the BMW X3 and Audi Q5 in terms of engine spec.
