2019 Yamaha Saluto RX 110, Saluto 125 UBS launched in India at Rs 52,000

Yamaha Motor India has updated its two entry-level offerings in India, the Yamaha Saluto RX 110 and Yamaha Saluto 125 with a new combined braking system. The Yamaha Saluto 110 UBS and Yamaha Saluto 125 UBS are priced at Rs 52,000 and Rs 59,800 respectively.

As the name suggests, the most notable addition here is that of the Unified Braking System. This is a combined braking system in which both brakes are applied at the same time when the rider presses the rear brake lever. This feature has been added the these bikes to make them compatible with the new safety regulations that come in to force in April 2019.

The Yamaha Saluto RX 110 UBS is powered by a 110cc, single cylinder, air-cooled engine mated to a four-speed transmission. This makes 7.4PS and 8.5 Nm. The Saluto RX 125 UBS makes 8.3PS and 10.1 Nm from its 125cc, single cylinder motor also mated to a four speeder.

The Saluto 110 is offered in four shades, Matte Green, Ritzy Red, Snappy Cyan and Darknight. The last option comes at a Rs 1,000 premium. The Saluto 125 also comes in four colour options, Armada Blue, Sparky Cyan, Brave Black and Matt Green(Rs 1,000 more). A disc brake variant is also available here for Rs 60,500.

Motofumi Shitara, chairman of Yamaha Motor India said, "Yamaha's unique style is to continually innovate its products in order to have a strong connect with the customers. At the same time, the company also feels equal responsibility to ensure safety for the riders by introducing latest technologies. The Unified Braking System (UBS) will now create easy riding scenario for any rider."
