2020 Triumph Street Triple RS teaser out, to be unveiled on October 7

British motorcycle manufacturer Triumph is all set to unveil the 2020 iteration of the Street Triple RS. The first set of teasers videos are already out. Triumph has confirmed the unveiling date of the 2020 Street Triple RS as October 7. While the street naked motorcycle could be showcased to the public at the EICMA 2019 show, we believe it will arrive in India in the second half of 2020. This updated Street Triple RS will lock horns with the all-new Kawasaki Z900, Ducati Monster 821, KTM 790 Duke and also the Suzuki GSX-S750.

From what we know, this time around Triumph will not give the Street Triple RS a major overhaul. Instead it will come with updates to keep it relevant among the competition and also to make it compliant with the latest emissions norms. In terms of design, the first thing that one would notice are the twin lights that look angrier with the sleek DRLs. The flyscreen unit above the lights too have gone through a design revision, looks much compact than before. Triumph has also tweaked the cowl design on the fuel tank along with updating the radiator guard.  However, as seen from the pictures, the frame design has been left untouched and so is the overall design and the fuel tank.

The highlight of the 2020 Triumph Street Triple RS will be its powertrain. In its current form, the 765cc triple produces 121PS at a redline limit of 12,000rpm and generates 77Nm. The high performance Moto2 engine's road going version that is expected to power the special edition of the Daytona 765Moto2 could be powering the 2020 Street Triple RS that will be compliant with Euro V emission norms.
