2021 Audi A4 Premium base variant launched in India at Rs 39.99 lakh
Audi India has launched a new base variant of the Audi A4 luxury sedan in the country. Priced at Rs 39.99 lakh, the A4 Premium sits below the Premium Plus and Technology variants and is the new entry point into the Audi A4 range
2021 Audi A4 Premium featuresThe Audi A4 Premium gets features like LED headlamps and taillamps, sunroof, wireless charging, single-zone climate control, rear-view camera, drive modes, 10.1-inch touchscreen, analogue dials with colour MID, single colour ambient lighting, leatherette upholstery, Auto-folding, heated, anti-glare exterior mirrors, Electrically adjustable front seats with lumbar support, six airbags and cruise control.
Compared to the higher Premium Plus variant, the Audi A4 Premium loses out on 2 airbags, 3-zone climate control, multi-colour ambient lighting. The tip Technology trim further adds driver's seat memory function, navigation, memory function exterior mirrors, Audi Virtual Cockpit digital instrumentation, piano black dash inlays and handsfree bootlid.
2021 Audi A4 Premium engine, specifications
The Audi A4 Premium remains mechanically unchanged from the rest of the A4 range. The sedan is powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol making 190PS and 320 Nm. This pairs with a seven-speed DCT and lets the A4 get from 0 to 100 kmph in a claimed 7.3s and reach a 241 kmph top-speed. A 12V mild-hybrid system has also been packaged into this, this uses a belt alternator starter allowing the A4 to coast for up to 10s between 55 and 160 kmph. Brake regen is also available.
2021 Audi A4 prices, rivalsStarting from the Premium, the mid-spec Audi A4 Premium Plus is priced at Rs 43.69 lakh while the top Technology costs Rs 47.61 lakh. The Audi A4 competes with the Mercedes-Benz C-Class, Volvo S60 and the BMW 3 Series.
