2021 Audi Q5 facelift launched at Rs 58.93 lakh
After a long hiatus, the Audi Q5 returns to the Indian market at a price starting from Rs 58.93 lakh, ex-showroom, for its mildly updated avatar. The 2021 Audi Q5 facelift is available in two variants, with the Premium Plus variant priced at Rs 58.93 lakh, and the Technology variant at Rs 63.77 lakh. The facelifted Q5 brings with it largely cosmetic updates that subtly refresh the face and rear of the SUV, in the way of a wider singleframe grille, new LED headlights and tail lights, new bumpers front and rear, upsized 19-inch wheels, and silver/chrome trim along the sides and tailgate.Â
Inside, the most significant upgrade is a move from an 8.3-inch infotainment screen to a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system wearing Audi's new UI. Elsewhere, the cabin moves to a more minimalist button layout on the central tunnel, and updated virtual cockpit digital dials, while two interior colour options are available, a beige or a dark brown. Standard features include 3-zone climate control, wireless smartphone charging, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, 8 airbags, and more. Top end Technology variants benefit from the addition of a 19-speaker Bang & Olufsen audio system, and adaptive dampers to name a few.Â
The Audi Q5, in its return to the segment, is now available with the 45 TFSI 2.0-litre petrol powertrain only which is paired with a 7-speed S Tronic dual-clutch transmission, with outputs standing at 249PS and 370Nm torque, the latter figure being the highest in its class. Drive modes now include an Off-Road configuration which selects lower gears to minimise the chance of falling out of the powerband and losing momentum, as well as engages hill descent control.Â
Rivals to the 2021 Audi Q5 facelift include the likes of the Mercedes-Benz GLC, BMW X3, Jaguar F-Pace and Volvo XC60.Â
