Panigale V4

Prices for the MY21 Panigale V4 start from Rs 23.50 lakh (ex-showroom, India) for the standard model and go up to Rs 28.40 lakh for the premium 'S' variant. This brings the cost of the standard variant to be Rs 80,000 more expensive than its predecessor, while the cost of the 'S' has also risen by Rs 1.90 lakh.

The 1,103cc Desmosedici Stradale motor now complies with BS VI emissions norms while producing its peak power of 217PS @ 13,000rpm and 124Nm of torque at 9,500pm. The 2021 Panigale V4 shows off some bits that were only available on the V4 R model â€" like the headlight fairing and side fairings along with some sharp aerodynamic appendages. The latest model even gets some electronic upgrades, including the latest generation Ducati traction control system, a self-bleeding clutch and brake master cylinders, and even the provision for the optional heated grips. The Race Riding Mode has been split into two specific mappings for track use (Race A and Race B), now freely comparable in the individual parameters, which complement the already existing Sport and Street modes.

The more premium Panigale V4 S model gets the additional electronically-controlled Ohlins suspension, a lithium-ion battery and forged-aluminium wheels in place of the standard V4 models fully-adjustable Sachs suspension, a lead-acid battery and cast-alloy wheels. The S weighs in at 195kg making it 3kg lighter than the standard MY21 Panigale.

Diavel 1260

The 2021 Ducati Diavel 1260 and 1260 S are priced at Rs. 18.49 lakh (ex-Showroom, India) and Rs. 21.49 lakh respectively. Like on the new Panigale model, the 1,262cc Ducati Testastretta DVT engine is BS VI compliant and puts out 3PS more than the model it replaces. The twin-cylinder motor delivers 164PS @ 9,500rpm and 129Nm @ 7,500 rpm. The BS VI Diavel 1260 is heavier than the model it replaces by 5 kilograms while the new Diavel 1260 S is lighter by 2 kg.

The 'S' variant gets a bi-directional quickshifter, higher spec Brembo brakes and fully adjustable Ohlins suspension as standard kit.

The standard Diavel 1260 is available in an all-black colour scheme or 'Dark Stealth' as Ducati calls it, while the 1260 S can be had in Ducati Red or Thrilling Black scheme options            .

Commenting on the launch, Mr. Bipul Chandra, Managing Director of Ducati India said, "We set out with an aggressive BS6 bike launch plan for 2021 and I am delighted that we have been able to deliver on it. Both the Panigale V4, V4 S and the Diavel 1260, 1260 S are an exciting addition to our entire range of bikes and helps us get closer to a more versatile line-up. While the Diavel caters to riders looking for a stylish power cruiser to munch miles on, the Panigale is a track enthusiast's dream and represent Ducati's best in super bike category. We are thrilled that these products are finally in the country and I can't wait for our customers to lay their hands on. I hope and pray that things get better for our country soon and riders can go back to the asphalt, where they truly belong."
