2021 Kia Seltos with new logo launched in India at Rs 9.95 lakh onwards
Kia India has launched the refreshed 2021 Kia Seltos in India with prices for the C-segment SUV starting at Rs 9.95 lakh for the 1.5 petrol HTE manual, going up to Rs 17.65 lakh for the diesel GTX+ auto. The 2021 Seltos gets the new Kia logo, added features while more from the top variants have now trickle down to lesser versions.
The new Kia Seltos, as well as the similarly refreshed 2021 Kia Sonet, both get paddle shifters now. For the Seltos, this is available in the GTX+ 7DCT / GTX+ AT. Another notable addition is that of the iMT clutchless manual transmission in the new mid-spec HTK+1.5 petrol variant. This version also gets new beige fabric seats. Another new variant added is the GTX(O) 6MT powered by the 1.4-litre turbo-petrol which gets black and beige sports leatherette states. A brown leatherette seat upholstery is now available with the HTX+ variants.
The HTX/HTX+/GTX(O)/GTX+ variants now get an air purifier system with virus and bacteria protection, wireless Android Auto/Apple Carplay has been added to the HTK/HTK+ fitted with the smaller 8-inch touchscreen, while a remote start function for the manual HTK+/HTX/HTX+ also makes an appearance. The UVO Voice command system now gets more voice control functions including OTA map updates and voice-controlled operation for the sunroof, driver window, AC wind direction and recirculation and defroster.
2021 Kia Seltos updated variantsAside from the new features, the 2021 Kia Seltos also sees a number of features from the top variants trickle down to the mid-spec versions. Safety tech like electronic stability control, vehicle stability management, brake assist and hill-assist are now available on the HTX/HTX+/GTX(O) variants. The sunroof is now available on the newly added HTK+ iMT and GTX(O) along with the HTX and HTX+ versions. The automatic climate control system also makes an appearance on these versions.
2021 Kia Seltos engines
The engine options for the updated Kia Seltos remain unchanged. The 1.5-litre four-cylinder N/A petrol makes 115PS and 144Nm while the 1.5-litre diesel motor makes 115PS and 250Nm. The petrol can be had in manual and CVT guise, as well as a new iMT version, while the diesel is manual only. The 1.4-litre turbo-petrol with 140PS and 250 Nm is available with a 6MT and 7DCT.
2021 Kia Seltos pricesPrices for the 1.5-litre petrol manual Seltos start from Rs 9.95 lakh for the HTE going up to Rs 13.65 lakh for the HTX. The new HTK+ iMT is priced at Rs 12.19 lakh while the HTX CVT costs Rs 14.65 lakh. For the turbo-petrol versions, prices start at Rs 15.35 lakh for the new GTX(O) trim, topping out at Rs 17.44 lakh for the GTX+ 7DCT. The diesel Seltos starts at Rs 10.45 lakh for the HTE manual going up to Rs 15.79 lakh for the HTX+.
