2021 Royal Enfield Classic 350 launched, prices range from Rs 1.84 to 2.15 lakh
Royal Enfield has just launched its 2021 Classic 350 model range in India. Prices for the entry-level 2021 Classic 350 start at Rs 1.84 lakh (ex-showroom, India) for the Reddich model, and go up to Rs 2.15 lakh for the top-end Chrome variant. While it may not appear to be so, the latest RE Classic 350 has undergone substantial changes over the last Classic 350 model, which come in the form of a new chassis, an engine upgrade, along with some additional features thrown in as well. Here are the all the details:
2021 RE Classic 350 variants and prices
The Royal Enfield Classic 350 is available in five series variants with 11 colour variants, beginning with the base Redditch series variant, the Halcyon series, the Classic Signals, the Dark series and the top Classic Chrome variant. The entry-level Redditch Series of the 2021 Classic 350 can be had for Rs 1,84lakh and it comes with single channel ABS and a rear drum brake. The Reddich models are the only 2021 Classic 350 models which come with single-channel ABS, while the rest get dial-channel ABS. The Halcyon Series from Rs 1.93 lakh, the Signal Series model has been priced at Rs 2.04 lakh. Fancy a new Classic 350 with some alloy wheels, then it's the Dark Series model that you'll have to consider, and it will be sold at Rs 2.11 lakh. The top-of-the-line Chrome Series model, that's equipped with all the bells and whistles possible, will set you back a cool Rs 2.51 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom, India).
2021 RE Classic 350 Engine
The 2021 Classic 350's single-cylinder motor is the same 349cc, air-cooled engine that features in the Meteor 350. It's been built from the ground-up and features SOHC instead of the push-rod system seen in earlier iteration of the Classic 350. Like in the Meteor, the motor in the Classic 350 continues the produce 20.2 PS at 6,100rpm and generates 27Nm at 4,000rpm, and comes paired with a 5-speed gearbox. The new motor promises lesser vibrations and increased usable low-end torque.
2021 RE Classic 350 Underpinnings
Here comes the best part of the new 350cc models âÂ" the new Chassis. For 2021, Royal Enfield has done away with the single-cradle frame and replaced it with a double-downtube unit which improves the bikes dynamics by some fair margin. The chassis is the same as the Meteor 350s. While the suspension components might appear to be lifted from the older model's parts bin, RE say that the new Classic gets a fatter 41mm telescopic fork up front. The 2021 Classic 350 gets 300mm single front disc and a 270mm single at the rear with dual-channel ABS. The single-channel ABS (Reddich) models will make do with a drum brake at the rear. Ground clearance on the new bike is also up to 170mm, which will see you through all sorts of rough terrain all the better.
2021 RE Classic 350 Features
Another welcomed change with the new Classic 350 models comes in the form of the updated switchgear which is borrowed from the Meteor 350. It just feels a lot better put together motorcycle now. The 2021 Classic 350 also gets an updated instrument cluster that's equipped with an LCD screen. Readouts include fuel gauge, two trip meters, odo, speedo and time. The top-spec Chrome variant also comes with the company's new 'Tripper' navigation display which uses Google Maps to display turn-by-turn navigation information once linked with your smartphone. But just like with the Meteor, this display does not manage calls or message notifications.
One can book a test ride, customize, and even place an order for the 2021 Classic 350 on the Royal Enfield App, on the company website or at the nearest Royal Enfield showroom.
