2021 Skoda Kodiaq facelift to launch in India on January 10
Skoda India's first of the six planned launches for 2022 will be the Skoda Kodiaq facelift. The refreshed three-row SUV will launch in India on January 2022, with the new Skoda SUV family look, a petrol engine and a larger set of features.
2022 Skoda Kodiaq facelift engines, specificationThe 2.0-litre diesel from the previous version of the Skoda Kodiaq is set to be replaced with the EA888 2.0-litre turbo-petrol also fitted to the Skoda Superb and Octavia. This more makes 190PS and 320 Nm and is paired with a seven-speed DCT. All-wheel-drive will continue to be available as well as features like hill-descent control. Further, the new Kodiaq will also be offered adaptive suspension.

The Skoda Kodiaq will be available in three variants - Style, Sportline and Laurin and Klement. The previous off-road themed Scout trim has been dropped from the line-up for now. Feature highlights will include an 8-inch touchscreen with wireless Android Auto/Apple Carplay, a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster, three-zone climate control, panoramic sunroof, cooled and heated front seats with 12-way power adjustment and 12 speaker Canton audio system. The Kodiaq will also get nine airbags.

The facelifted Skoda Kodiaq gets a sharper-looking face with the wide Skoda grille and the slimmer, more flowing headlamps and foglamps being the most noticeable change. The side profile remains unchanged aside from a new set of alloys but the rear again has seen a refresh. Here there are narrower, more angular LED taillamps with sequential turn indicators and the powered tailgate. The SUV also gets headlamp washers and keyless entry on all doors.
2022 Skoda Kodiaq facelift expected price, launch datePrices for the 2022 Skoda Kodaiq should start from around Rs 36 lakh. The Kodiaq will compete with the likes of the Toyota Fortuner and MG Gloster.
