2021 Tata Tigor EV: Prices and variants explained
Tata Motors has launched its second EV for personal buyers with the Tata Tigor EV. The Tigor EV uses the firm's Ziptron high-voltage electric architecture to return an ARAI-certified range of 306 km. A 26 kWh liquid-cooled battery powers a 75PS and 170 Nm permanent magnet electric motor. The battery pack is weather and impact resistant and carries an 8 year and 1.6 lakh km warranty. Bookings for the Tata Tigor EV have already opened for a Rs 21,000 deposit.
Among the Tata Tigor EV's other highlights is the fact that it is the first Indian EV to be subjected to a Global NCAP crash test, where it has scored a 4-star safety rating which matches the petrol-powered version.
