2021 Tata Xpres-T EV launched in India at Rs 9.75 lakh
Tata Motors recently announced its new electric sub-brand for fleet operators named Xpres. Tata has now announced the prices of the Xpres-T EV that is an electric sub-compact sedan based on the Tigor facelift. It replaces the old Tigor EV and comes offered with two variant options, XM+ (Rs 9.75 lakh) and XT+ (Rs 9.9 lakh). The bookings are now open at select Tata dealerships.
The prices are assumed to be of the smaller battery pack-equipped Xpres-T. The prices of the variants equipped with the larger 21.5kWh pack will be revealed later. As we just stated, the Xpres-T is offered with two battery pack options. 16.5kWh with 165 km claimed range and 21.5kWh with 213 km claimed range. The battery pack is mated to a 70V, 3-phase induction motor that produces 40hp and 105 Nm of torque. Know more about Tata Motors' Xpres brand here.
The 2021 Tata Xpres-T can be charged via an AC wall box charger that takes eight and 11.5 hours for 16.5kWh and 21.5kWh respectively. It also supports 15kW DC charging that takes 90 minutes and 110 minutes respectively to charge from 0-80 per cent. In terms of looks, the Xpres-T gets new badging, some blue inserts, gloss-black flat grille and 14-inch alloy wheels. Talking about the features, the Xpres-T gets dual airbags, ABS, EBD, LED headlights, LED DRLs, LED taillights, auto climate control, digital instrument cluster, electrically adjustable ORVMs to name a few. The bookings for the Xpres-T are now open at select Tata dealerships across the country.
