2022 Honda CB300R, CB350 Anniversary Edition showcased at IBW
Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India showcased two motorcycles âÂ" the CB300R BS-VI and CB350 Anniversary edition âÂ" at India Bike Week 2021.
2022 Honda CB300R
It's taken a while for Honda to get the CB300R back on the menu for India, but the BS-VI-compliant was finally unveiled this year's India Bike Week. The neo-retro street bike is also slated to be made available from January 2022, which is around the time Honda is likely reveal its price. Honda will be locally manufacturing the motorcycle, so expect it to be priced at under Rs 2.5 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Honda CB300R is back, and the biggest change comes in the form of its 286cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled motor which now produces 31.1PS at 9000rpm and 27.5Nm at 7500rpm, which is up in comparison to the older bike which made 30.4PS and 27.4Nm both at a 1,000rpm lower. The bike also gets a slip and assist clutch as standard.
Aside from the different coloured panels, a slightly more powerful BS-VI motor and the slipper clutch thrown on, the 2022 bike carries the trellis frame, suspension units and the tyre and brakes setup over from the older model. Even the LCD appears to be the same as before, with no sign of Bluetooth connectivity.
While BS-IV CB300R was sold in India via the CKD route, the 2022 model will be produced in India which would mean a lower cost in comparison to the older bike which came at a price of almost Rs 2.5lakh (ex-showroom).
Honda CB350 Anniversary edition
As with most 'Anniversary Editions', this special edition Honda motorcycle features only cosmetic changes over the regular CB350 model, while its mechanicals remain unaltered. So you get a new colour scheme which flaunts a lot of gold, like the gold tank badging, the gold badges on the side panels and the heavy-on-gold anniversary logo on top of the tank. The special edition bike gets a brown split seat as well. Honda says that it doesn't have a definite number of anniv edition bikes that will be up for grabs, and will pull it off the menu card when it feels appropriate. The Anniversary Edition CB350 will cost you Rs 2.03 lakh (ex-Gurugram) which is slightly more expensive than the regular model being sold out here.
