2022 Kia Sonet X-Line launched in India, prices start from Rs 13.39 lakh
After the Seltos, the smaller Kia Sonet has also been given the matte-themed X-Line package. Prices for the Kia Sonet X-Line start from Rs 13.39 lakh, making it the new top variant in the Kia Sonet line-up.
2022 Kia Sonet X-Line exterior, interior changes, featuresThe 2022 Kia Sonet X-Line gets a similar treatment to what was seen with the Seltos X-Line. There is a new matte graphite paint shade and a new design for the 16-inch alloy wheels. Aside from this, there are also numerous gloss black and dark metallic touches on the outside. The Sonet X-Line gets a gloss black grille with the knurling now in piano black. There are now piano black front and rear skid plates with dark metallic accents, a dark chrome fog lamp housing, piano black outer mirrors and side garnishes in dark metal. These enhancements are rounded off by silver brake callipers, a matte graphite shark-fin antenna, new exhaust tips and X-Line badging.
The changes to the inside of the Kia Sonet X-Line include leatherette seats with orange stitching and X-Line logos, a leather-wrapped steering wheel with a similar treatment and black headlining. The Sonet X-Line is based on the top variants of the standard Sonet and gets features like a 10.25-inch touchscreen, connected tech, sunroof, ventilated front seats, LEd lighting, ambient lighting, drive and traction modes, Bose audio system, air purifier and six airbags.
2022 Kia Sonet X-Line engine options, specifications
The Kia Sonet X-Line is limited to the top turbo-DCT and diesel-AT versions of the Sonet. The 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbo-petrol motor makes 120PS and 172Nm and is paired only with a seven-speed DCt in the X-Line, although a six-speed iMT is also available. The 1.5-litre four-cylinder turbo diesel motor makes 115PS and 250 Nm when paired with a six-speed automatic, lower-spec manual versions make do with 100PS and 240 Nm.
2022 Kia Sonet X-Line prices, rivalsThe turbo-petrol Kia Sonet X-Line costs Rs 13.39 lakh while the diesel is priced at Rs 13.99 lakh. The Sonet competes with the Hyundai Venue, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300, and higher-spec versions of the Nissan Magnite and Renault Kiger.
