2022 Mercedes-Benz C-class starts rolling out from production facility in Chakan ahead of launch on May 10
Mercedes-Benz India said on Wednesday that manufacturing of the 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class has begun at the company's cutting-edge plant in Chakan, Pune. The fifth-generation model of the C-class is set to debut on May 10.
The 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class will be offered in three different versions: C 200, C200d, and the top-of-the-line C300d. Mercedes-Benz car owners have until April 30 to book the sedan, while general public bookings will begin on May 1 at a cost of Rs 50,000.
The 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class inside has been completely redesigned. More crucially, it has a split-screen arrangement similar to that seen in the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, with a 12.3-inch driver display and an 11.9-inch central information panel with a fingerprint sensor. Mercedes has also replaced the steering wheel and added three new central air vents above the infotainment screen, as well as removed the rotary dial, trackpad, and other switches from the centre console.
Mercedes' 'Retail of the Future' program will make the model available through its franchise partners, as well as through its internet platforms. There are now around 37,000 Mercedes-Benz C-Class cars on Indian roads.
