2023 Audi Q8 e-tron and Q8 Sporkback e-tron launch on 18 Aug: What to expect?
Audi is gearing up to introduce the 2023 Q8 e-tron and Q8 Sportback e-tron in India on 18 August, 2023. As part of the mid-cycle facelift, the all-electric duo features several enhancements, including extended range. In addition, the German luxury automaker has renamed the e-tron and e-tron Sportback facelifts to the more familiar nomenclature, the Q8 e-tron and Q8 Sportback e-tron. Here is what to expect from the updated Q8 e-tron pair.
The 2023 Q8 e-tron and Q8 Sportback e-tron showcase subtle design changes, including a redesigned grille, tweaked front and rear bumpers, reprofiled headlights and taillights, larger air inlets, and a new set of 20-inch aero alloy wheels tailored for the India-specific models. Both models also feature a new light stripe running across the edge of the bonnet.
Inside the cabin, the 2023 Q8 e-tron and Q8 Sportback e-tron remain largely unchanged from their pre-facelift counterparts. However, the dashboard is now made from using recycled materials. They are equipped with a 12.3-inch driver display, 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and an additional 8.6-inch touchscreen control panel. India-specific models offer Valcona Milano leather upholstery or a combination of leather and leatherette upholstery.
2023 Audi Q8 e-tron and Q8 Sportback e-tron: FeaturesThe updated Q8 e-tron and Q8 Sportback e-tron boast a wide variety of features, including powered front seats with memory, lumbar, massage, ventilation, and heating functions; digital LED matrix headlamps, 30-colour ambient lighting, a panoramic sunroof, a wireless charging pad, 16-speaker, 705-watt Bang & Olufsen sound system, 360-degree park assist package with park assist plus, four-zone temperature control, soft-close function for doors, lane departure warning, gesture-controlled boot opening, and connected car tech, among others.
2023 Audi Q8 e-tron and Q8 Sportback e-tron: Battery, Range, and Charging
Powering the India-specific Q8 e-tron and Q8 Sportback e-tron is a larger 114kWh battery pack coupled with a dual-motor setup, delivering 408PS and 664Nm of torque. These EVs offer a WLTP range of up to 600km on a full charge and can achieve zero to 100kmph in just 5.6 seconds. The Q8 e-tron models support up to 22kW Type-2 AC charging and up to 170kW CCS2 DC fast charging, enabling the battery pack to charge from 10 to 80 per cent in only 31 minutes.
