2023 Honda City facelift: What should you expect?
Honda is readying the 2023 City facelift for the India launch soon. This mid-cycle update will not only bring subtle cosmetic changes to the sedan but also additional features, such as ADAS.
2023 Honda City facelift: Launch, Prices, and Rivals
The Japanese automaker will reportedly launch the City facelift in India on 2 March, 2023. While the upcoming City will get a new base variant, the prices of other variants may attract a higher premium. Notably, the on-sale City is priced between Rs 11.90-15.65 lakh (ex-showroom). Once launched, the sedan will compete against the Skoda Slavia, Volkswagen Virtus, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, and new-gen Hyundai Verna, which is scheduled to arrive on 21 March, 2023.
2023 Honda City facelift: Variants
The upcoming City facelift will get four primary variants: SV, V, VX, and ZX, whereas the City e:HEV will be available in a choice of two variants: V and ZX trims.
2023 Honda City facelift: Design
The highlight of the 2023 City facelift will be the new bumpers and reshaped grille. Honda will also offer a new paint job. In addition, it could come with new alloy wheels. The City facelift may continue with the existing five colour options: Lunar Silver Metallic, Radiant Red Metallic, Platinum White Pearl, Golden Brown Metallic, and Meteoroid Grey Metallic.

The interior will likely retain its overall design except for subtle updates. It is expected to get ventilated front seats and a wireless charging pad. Meanwhile, Honda could also offer fresh upholstery.
2023 Honda City facelift: Features
Honda will bestow the City facelift with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). Additionally, it will likely feature a 360-degree camera and an electric parking brake with an auto-hold function. Other features will include six airbags, auto-dimming inside rearview mirror, eight speakers, an electric sunroof, TPMS, VSA, AHA, HSA, Honda connect, and smartwatch connectivity.
2023 Honda City facelift: Powertrain
The City facelift will be available only with a petrol powertrain as the diesel unit will be off the table. It will be powered by a 1.5-litre, inline-four, naturally aspirated petrol engine that makes 121PS and 145Nm of torque. Mated to the motor will be a six-speed manual or CVT automatic transmission. On the other hand, the City e:HEV will get the same 1.5-litre Atkinson cycle petrol unit paired with an eCVT automatic transmission. This engine generates a combined power output of 126PS and 253Nm of torque.
