2023 Jawa and Yezdi motorcycles are now OBD2 compliant
Jawa and Yezdi motorcycles have updated the entire range to comply with new BS6 phase-2 (OBD2) emission norms. It is also to be noted that the Jawa and Yezdi motorcycles have received a price hike and several subtle updates related to their engines that claim to improve performance and the NVH levels.
Updated Jawa line-up
Along with OBD2 updates, Jawa has tuned up the engine of the 42, 42 Bobber, and Perak for a refinement in terms of the NVH levels. In addition, the brand has remapped the engine and given a larger throttle body and exhaust ports. These changes are claimed to improve performance and readability of the motorcycles. The 42 also features slipper and assist clutch and a new exhaust.
The 42 is powered by a 294.72cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled motor producing 27.32PS and 26.84Nm of torque. Whereas, the 42 Bobber and Perak get a 334cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder DOHC engine that makes 30.64PS and 32.74Nm of torque. Mated to these engines is a six-speed gearbox.
Updated Yezdi line-up
The Yezdi range comprises three motorcycles: the Scrambler, Adventure, and Roadster. Like the Jawa line-up, Yezdi's Adventure, Roadster, and Scrambler also receive reworked engine components to improve the NVH levels, engine remapping, and larger throttle body and exhaust ports. Additionally, all three motorcycles now come with a larger rear sprocket that should enhance low-end performance. Meanwhile, Yezdi has also given them an updated exhaust system.
Powering the Yezdi Adventure, Scrambler, and Roadster is a 334cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine 334cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled DOHC unit generating 30.30PS and 29.84Nm of torque. This engine comes paired to a six-speed gearbox.
