2023 OBD.2 Honda Dio with smart key launched; prices start at Rs 70,211
Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has launched the 2023 BS6.2-compliant (OBD.2) Dio scooter in India with prices starting at Rs 70,211 (ex-showroom). With this, it is now available in a choice of three variants, namely Standard, Deluxe, and H-Smart.
The model year update has brought a host of changes to the Dio. Above all, after the Activa H-Smart and Activa 125 H-Smart, Honda has now equipped its sporty commuter scooter with the H-Smart keyless technology. Notably, prospective customers can now avail a new 10-year extended warranty package for the 2023 Dio.
2023 OBD.2 Honda Dio: Colours and graphicsWith the 2023 model year update, the Dio features mildly redesigned front end and fresh graphics and a logo. The new H-Smart variants is also available with a new Mat Dark Blue Metallic colour scheme. That said, the scooter carries overall design. Further, Honda now offers the 2023 Dio with new alloy wheels (only the H-Smart variant) and a larger 12-inch front wheel.
2023 OBD.2 Honda Dio: New features
Like the Activa H-Smart and Activa 125 H-Smart, the 2023 Dio now comes with H-Smart technology, which offers features, such as remote find, remote unlock, keyless start, and anti-theft system. On top of that, the scooter gets a new digital cluster that shows distance to empty range, average fuel efficiency, and real-time fuel efficiency figure, service due indicator, and clock. The side stand engine cut-off feature is offered as an optional extra.
2023 OBD.2 Honda Dio: Engine and power outputsThe 2023 Dio boasts the 110cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine with Honda's silent start producing 7.8PS and 9Nm of torque. The engine also comes with ESP (enhanced smart power) and PGM-FI (programmed fuel injection) similar to the Activa.
2023 OBD.2 Honda Dio: Prices and rivalsThe 2023 Honda Dio Standard and Deluxe cost Rs 70,211 and Rs 74,212 (both ex-showroom, Delhi), while the new Honda Dio H-Smart comes with a price tag of Rs 77,712 (ex-showroom, Delhi). Meanwhile, the 2023 Honda Dio rivals the Hero Xoom and TVS Ntorq.
