2024 BMW F 900 GS, F 900 GS Adventure & F 800 GS: Highlights

The F 800 GS is designed as an entry-level motorcycle, while the F 900 GS or F 900 GS Adventure is built with features tailored to enhance the experience during extended trips. The F 900 GS has undergone a major overhaul. It is now considerably lighter than its predecessor, thanks to a new plastic fuel tank that is 4.5kg lighter than the previous steel version. The redesigned rear section also contributes to a sleeker look, shedding an additional 2.4kg.

BMW Motorrad has equipped the new GS models with two standard riding modes: Rain and Road, along with Dynamic Traction Control (DTC) and ABS Pro for improved cornering stability. There is an optional 'Riding Modes Pro' package, which includes additional riding modes, pre-selection options, and Dynamic Brake Control (DBC).

The F 900 GS and F 900 GS Adventure both feature new fully adjustable upside-down telescopic forks. The F 900 GS can be fitted with the optional Enduro Pro package, which includes titanium nitride-coated forks, an adjustable central spring strut, and M Endurance chain.

BMW has reworked the ergonomics of the F 900 GS for off-road use, with lower footrests, a higher handlebar position, and a new fuel tank design that claims to offer advantages when riding on rough terrain. All three models come standard with an adjustable gearshift lever, and the F 900 GS includes a new foot brake lever too.

Lighting has also been improved across the line-up, with all three models featuring powerful LED headlights. The F 900 GS, in particular, benefits from a new LED headlight with a larger low beam opening angle. Additionally, they boast a large 6.5-inch colour TFT display.

The engine's capacity has been increased to 895cc, up from the previous 853cc, resulting in a boost in power and torque. The F 900 GS and F 900 GS Adventure now deliver 105PS and 93Nm of torque, whereas the F 800 GS produces 87PS and 91Nm of torque.
