2024 BMW M340i launched in India at Rs 74.90 lakh
The M340i performance sedan from BMW India has been revised and is now available for Rs 74.9 lakh (ex-showroom). BMW claims that the M340i is India's best-selling performance vehicle with over 1,000 units sold to date and the car is also locally assembled at the BMW Group Plant in Chennai. Booking for the updated car is currently underway via BMW's dealership network and the online website.
There aren't any noticeable design changes to the exterior of the car other than the new set of Jet Black 19-inch alloy wheels. BMW is also offering the car in 2 new metallic shades - Arctic Race Blue and Fire Red.
On the inside, the dashboard remains unchanged. BMW upgraded the operating system from version 8.0 to version 8.5, although the functions are still the same. The new system comes with a 14.9-inch infotainment system. The inside has carbon fibre interior trim strips, M High Gloss Shadowline, a newly designed steering wheel with a red centre marker, and sports seats with leather Vernasca upholstery.
2024 BMW M340i: Powertrain
The M340i's 3.0-liter, six-cylinder petrol engine produces 374PS and 500Nm of torque and can accelerate from 0 to 100 kph in 4.4 seconds. The car's strong performance is enhanced with the 8-speed automatic transmission, paddle shifters, and cruise control. It is enjoyable to drive in a variety of circumstances because to the improved handling and grip provided by the M Sport differential and xDrive all-wheel-drive system.
