2024 Hyundai Alcazar launched; prices start at Rs 14.99 lakh

Hyundai Motor India has launched the 2024 Alcazar facelift with prices starting at Rs 14.99 lakh (ex-showroom) for petrol and Rs 15,99 lakh for diesel. Its bookings are already open for a token amount of Rs 25,000.

2024 Hyundai Alcazar facelift Variants & Colours

It comes in four variant options: Executive, Prestige, Platinum, and Signature. In fact, Hyundai has introduced the new entry-level Executive variant, which was not available with the previous Alcazar. In addition, there are nine colours on offer, Titan Grey Matte, Robust Emerald, Starry Night, Ranger Khakhi, Fiery Red, Abyss Black, Atlas White, and a new Robust Emerald Matte alongside and a dual-tone paint job Atlas White with Black Roof paint job.

2024 Hyundai Alcazar facelift

The Alcazar facelift boasts a fresh design while still sharing similarities with its siblings, such as the Santa Fe, Creta, and Exter. The front end features a Creta-inspired bumper and vertically stacked LED headlights, but the H-shaped daytime running lights are reminiscent that of on the Santa Fe and Exter. Not only that, the front end is now more upright and elevated compared to the previous model. The rear has also been revamped with redesigned taillamps with a connecting light. There is also a new set of 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels. Meanwhile, it measures 4,560mm in length, 1,800mm in width X 1,710mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,760mm.

2024 Hyundai Alcazar facelift Interior

On the inside, the redesigned interior takes inspiration from the Creta facelift but gets a distinct dual-tone colour theme in Noble Brown and Haze Navy Blue. Then, there is a single panel housing two 10.25-inch displays - one for the touchscreen infotainment system and another for the instrument cluster. Other updates include a revamped centre console, new air-conditioning controls, dual-zone temperature control, a new boss mode, rear seat ventilation (only with six-seat layout), an eight-way powered front seats with driver's seat memory settings, USB Type-C and Type-A ports, 270+ voice commands, 135+ Hindi voice commands, and 70+ Bluelink functions.

Moreover, the Alcazar facelift boasts winged headrests for the rear seats and improved padding for the captain seats. There are also cushion extention in the rear. The seven-seater variants feature a one-touch seat-fold option for easier third-row access. The second-row seats now come with two USB Type-C charging ports and a wireless charging pad.

Hyundai Alcazar Features

For the first time, the Hyundai Alcazar facelift debuts Digital Key with NFC, enabling multiple user access. The 2024 Alcazar facelift will include new and updated features such as HyundaiSense ADAS with 19 functions, a 360-degree camera, driving modes (Normal, Eco, and Sport), a wireless charging pad in the front and rear, a Bose sound system, a panoramic sunroof, telematics with SOS, engine start/stop function, three traction modes (Snow, Mud, and Sand), brake assist, an electronic parking brake with auto-hold, puddle lamps, and an auto-dimming IRVM, automatic headlamps and wipers.

Hyundai now offers 40 standard features, including six airbags, hill start assist, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Vehicle Stability Management (VSM), four discs, and TPMS, among others.

Hyundai Alcazar Engine specifications

Powering the Alcazar facelift is a 1.5-litre, four-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine that produces 160PS and 253Nm of torque, along with a 1.5-litre, four-cylinder, turbocharged diesel engine delivering 116PS and 250Nm. Transmission options will include a six-speed manual, a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic, and a six-speed automatic.

In terms of ARAI tested fuel economy, the 1.5-litre petrol's six-speed manual and seven-speed DCT give out a mileage of 17.5kmpl and 18.0kmpl, respectively, while the six-speed manual and six-speed automatic with 1.5-litre diesel return a fuel efficiency of 20.4kmpl and 18.1kmpl, respectively,
