2024 Hyundai Creta facelift launched: Old vs new
The refreshed Hyundai Creta has been launched with introductory prices starting at Rs 11 lakh (ex-showroom). The mid-life facelift brings significant changes to the compact SUV, especially in design and interior. Here, we highlight the differences between the 2024 Hyundai Creta facelift and its predecessor.
The front and rear of the Creta facelift have undergone a complete redesign. In contrast to the C-shaped daytime running lights with integrated headlamps in the older model, the facelift features an upright face. Notable updates include a new wide rectangular-shaped grille, a light strip running across the bonnet width, a redesigned front bumper with vertically stacked LED headlamps, and a silver-painted faux skid plate.
The side profile remains identical to the pre-facelift Creta, but the facelifted model boasts newly designed 18-inch alloy wheels. At the back, a new full-length light strip similar to the front light bar is introduced, replacing the older model's taillights resembling the headlight unit.
Additional changes include a repositioned high-mounted stop lamp on the roof spoiler, revised Creta lettering, a new bumper with faux skid plate, updated model designation, and a concealed exhaust tip.
Hyundai Creta facelift: Interior Upgrades
The cabin of the Creta facelift showcases a light colour theme, a revamped dashboard, a redesigned temperature control panel, and a slightly reworked centre console featuring an updated gear stick. The previous split setup of infotainment and instrument cluster has been replaced with a single-piece panel integrating a 10.25-inch all-digital driver display and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The centre air-con vents are now positioned between the display and temperature control unit, and a new unit with telematics controls is introduced for the IRVM.
Hyundai Creta facelift: Features
In terms of features, the Creta facelift now includes dual-zone temperature control, a 360-degree camera, blind-spot monitor, Level 2 ADAS with 19 features, 36 standard safety features, updated connected car tech with over 80 functions, and an updated Bose sound system, among others. Previous features such as ventilated seats, ESC, TPMS, a panoramic sunroof, and more have been retained.
Hyundai Creta facelift:: Powertrain
The Creta facelift is powered by a new 1.5-litre, four-cylinder, turbo-petrol engine producing 160PS and 253Nm of torque, replacing the older 1.4-litre turbo-petrol unit. The 116PS 1.5-litre diesel and 115PS 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engines continue with the updated SUV. Transmission options include a six-speed manual, a six-speed automatic, a CVT automatic, and a seven-speed DCT automatic.
