2024 Kawasaki Ninja 500 India launch soon
EICMA 2023 witnessed a range of unveilings and the new Kawasaki Ninja 500 and Z500 were amongst the key highlights. Now, the Ninja 500 is expected to arrive in India soon. Bookings of the motorcycle are likely to commence in the coming days. That being said, both models share major components, including the new engine, which is the same unit that powers the recently launched Eliminator. In fact, the Ninja 500 and Z500 recently went on sale in the European market are also available in the United States. They are available in a choice of two trim levels: Standard and SE.
Powering the Ninja 500 is the new 451cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine mated to a six-speed gearbox. It generates 45.4PS at 9,000rpm and 42.6Nm at 6,000rpm/
2024 Kawasaki Ninja 500 DesignThe Ninja 500 draws inspiration from its elder siblings. Overall, it bears a sporty appearance with an aggressive fascia reminiscent of the ZX-6R or ZX-10R. It gets Kawasaki signature split headlamp setup, a small windscreen, cuts and creases on the front fender and fairing, swept-up tail section, split seat, and clip-on handlebar. The brand offers it in two colour options: Lime Green with Ebony and Metallic Matte Dark Grey/Metallic Flat Spark Black/Metallic Moondust Grey. Plus, there are also market-specific paint jobs.
2024 Kawasaki Ninja 500 Features and SpecificationsKawasaki has equipped the Ninja 500 with LED headlights, colour TFT display, KIPASS (Kawasaki's Intelligent Proximity Activation Start System), Bluetooth connectivity, Type-C charging port, dual-channel ABS, and assist-and-slipper clutch.
In terms of hardware, it comes with telescopic front forks, a rear monoshock, a 310mm front disc, and a 220mm rear disc. The kerb weight of the Ninja 500 stands at 172kg, while it has a seat height of 785mm. The ground clearance is 145mm and fuel tank capacity of 14 litres.
2024 Kawasaki Ninja 500 Pricing
We expect the Ninja 500 to be priced between Rs 5.20 to 5.40 lakh. It is likely to sit below the new Eliminator, which costs Rs 5.62 lakh (ex-showroom). Not to forget, the Ninja 400 comes with a price tag of Rs 5.24 lakh (ex-showroom). That said, the new Ninja 500 is likely to replace the Ninja 400 in the country.
